AEGIS Trustee
It is with great pride and pleasure that one of our Directors has accepted the role of Trustee for AEGIS. This is an honour for Berkeley Guardians to have someone from our team representing both the guardianships and most importantly the international students.
Karen Pickles will take up her role this term and will join a small number of other guardianships and schools on the Board. She will be there to speak up for the international student, to ensure that their safety and protection is paramount to the ongoing exceptional work of AEGIS and their guardianships

Our purpose is to safeguard the welfare of international students studying at schools, colleges and universities in the UK, making them feel safe, welcome and cared for.
Through our rigorous accreditation process, we provide peace of mind that those offering guardianship services to these students meet the very highest standards of care.
The AEGIS trustee role
AEGIS aims to have a board of Trustees with a wealth of educational experience from school, guardianship and safeguarding backgrounds. This expertise helps to ensure that AEGIS not only meets its charitable aims, but understands the needs of both school and guardianship members in supporting international students.
